SPGBK sent us a review sample of their new Caramel Bundle. It features two different SPGBK watches: The Skibo and Thurman. These two wooden watches are complete opposites from each other, and together make an excellent package that’ll give you an appropriate option for no matter what you may be wearing.
The Skibo watch is made from red Sandal Wood and features a Nubuck leather strap. It’s incredibly light weight, with the case weighing less than two ounces. We love how the skinny and minimalist second, minute, and hour hands stand out against the white face and match both the crown and buckle.
The Thurman is made from Walnut wood. It has removable wooden links and a stainless steel clasp. The Thurman feels surprisingly more comfortable that we’d have thought it would. Unlike the Skibo, the Thurman watch features a wooden face too. Yet despite all the wood, it’s just as surprisingly light.
Positives:
Made from renewable resources.
The Skibo and Thurman watches both book and feel great.
Inexpensive. Less than half the price of other brand’s wooden watches.
Negatives:
Low cost is reflected in the components used, such as an Acrylic lens.
Final verdict: Four out of five.
The Skibo has an MSRP of $52.99 and Thurman has an MSRP of $79.99. Either watch is a great deal by itself, and together the Caramel Bundle’s MSRP of $99.99 is a complete bargain. Additionally, SPGBK backs all their watches with a lifetime warranty. That’s more than we can say for some other brands producing wooden watches at much higher prices.
